Weekend Update

Weekend was rather useless in terms of productivity, I hope this will change during the week as I need to get some urgent photo work done.

Saturday morning was non existent (i.e. spent sleeping), then I got up, had breakfast and did some shopping, made mousse, failed to do the washing up (except a few pieces I needed for dinner), dozed a bit, lazed about and cooked dinner (stuffed porkchops from the Art of Meat with pan fried potatoes and mixed baby leaf salad).
Then it was time to drive to Farcet for autumn_storm's party. Being an hour later than advertised, I was surprised to be the first guest. Took out my goodies (Dippadoom, Mousse) and chatted a bit before more guests arrived (nekofairy666, raggedy_man and X whose name I can never remember). raggedy_man's oven had failed to cook a chicken so he brought a new one and cooked it in the Humphreys' oven and it was a fantastic chicken indeed. Too bad I had already eaten but the bits off the carcass were nice. :o)
The rest of the evening was spent chatting, relaxing, playing with Pippin and generally just having a great time with good friends.

Sunday was a null day. Got up at 2 after 12 hours of sleep and didn't do anything of value for the rest of the day, except wash one load of laundry. I had planned to do some photo work but I couldn't concentrate on anything. At least I'm on a good track to get my sleeping patterns in order so this should get better during the week.
I've decided against going to SC on Friday as I need a full weekend to catch up on things.

Computer tech question

In preparation for the delivery of my shiny new monitor, I just bought a graphics card.
I'm currently running my existing monitor off the integrated motherboard graphics. After I've installed the card, do I need to do anything apart from swapping the monitor lead to the card or will it automatically recognise that the monitor is now connected to the card?

Graphics card installed like a breeze and without injury. Also took the opportunity to get some dust out of the innards *cough* *cough*
The only thing that happend is that it reset my desktop (no background picture and all icons arranged irregularly). Other than that, peachy. Sam & Max looks a lot nice and I'm now looking for a game demo or two to see what it can do. Any recommendations? I prefer adventures/RPGs to shooters. No online games and nothing that costs extra. I don't have time to play much, anyway so no online games and nothing that costs extra. I don't even want to buy one.

Can't wait for the new monitor to arrive, although I hope it won't be Wednesday or Thursday as the temptation to play with it could be far greater than going to Tai Chi or playing SLA...
