1. Copy this list into your LJ, including these instructions.
2. Bold all the items you've eaten.
3. Cross out any items that you would never consider eating.
4. Make recommendations of specific places/products when possible.
5. Put a single asterisk next to things you really want to try.
6. Put a double asterisk next to things you really like.
from me: 7: Put the things you've cooked yourself in italics

Comment with the words "Top Ten" or "Top Five", and I will reply with a subject for which you will generate a top ten (or top five) list. Post the list and these instructions in your own journal, if you want to.

[livejournal.com profile] whollyrandom gave me Top Five Vegetarian Dishes. In no particular order and not necessarily things I've cooked:

1) Wild Mushroom and Spinach Risotto - most likely one of the tastiest dishes I've ever cooked and it gets better every time.
2) The Wrestler's Green Veg Curry
3) Mushroom Stroganoff
4) A nice big mixed leaf (incl. rocket, baby spinach etc.) salad with cherry tomatoes, lots of red onions and feta cheese. When it's really hot in summer, I rarely need much more.
5) Broccoli smothered in thick blue cheese sauce and baked in the oven

As I've asked two people, here it is.

The first five people to comment here will receive a piece of "art" that is somehow connected to them. I make no guarantees of what, when or how good that will be, etc.

Note 1: I will take the liberty of choosing something I've already done.

Note 2: You're not required to post this yourself.

Look at your LJ userpics list.

If you have fewer than 50 icons, pick every fifth one.
If you have between fifty and seventy-five icons, pick every seventh one.
If you have over seventy-five icons, pick every tenth one.
If you have fewer than ten, pick all of 'em.

List them on your LJ, and tell everyone exactly why you have it, why it's interesting to you, what significance does it have.

On with the list )

[Jan] Or Happy New Year for those with a lesser grasp of German.
[Feb] I'll only be at the Druids briefly as we need to try and sort a new venue for [info]club_octaine, so no games tonight.
[Mar] Not that big, actually.
[Apr] Was the first there so chatted to [info]surje and [info]casilda about the US and other things.
[May] Despite it being a Saturday afternoon on a Bank Holiday weekend, the Tesco petrol station wasn't busy and neither were the motorways.
[Jun] An hour in photos.
[Jul] Just a few quick test shots I took today:
[Aug] What kind of idiot underlines links in a website?
[Sep] Remember me complaining about their (lack of) service?
[Oct] Rock School on Friday was pretty cool, although I find nobody at that school ever having heard about KISS rather unbelievable.
[Nov] Any tips for late lunch (after 2) near Leicester Square?
[Dec] Some of you might remember the Christmas themed photos I took of [info]cryx a while ago.

1. My username is karohemd because it means "checked shirt" in German. (anyone who knows me outside goth clubs will know why)
2. My journal is titled Welcome to my World because I couldn't think of anything else and I talk about my world.
3. My subtitle is A German in Cambridge because I am.
4. My friends page is called I know weird people because you all are. ;oP
5. My default userpic is an MRI scan of my head because it's damn cool and not everyone has one of those.

What I like about the place where I live

- it's tiny but I have my own shower room and kitchenettette (i.e. smaller than a kitchenette)
- it's reasonably quiet
- I have essential European amenities that would be considered luxuries over here (mixer taps, double-glazed windows you can open completely to the inside - not just one panel etc.)
- my landlord is only in for a few weeks at the time, with three month breaks in between
- my rent hasn't gone up in the nine years I've lived here and is now very good value for what it is
- I live in one of those nice pockets of Arbury/Kings Hedges, both neighbours to the left and right are lovely and one of them is a car mechanic but chav central isn't far away
- Chippy/Chinese take-away, small Tesco, cash machine are all less than 5 minutes walk away, a good butcher a bit further.
- easy access to A14/M11
