[Film] Bourne Ultimatum
4 Sep 2007 09:56 pmNo big review. It was good and a good conclusion to the trilogy. Hardly a slow moment (as in nobody moving) from one chase scene to another across some very cool locations.
The other good thing is the realistic tech. Unlike other spy/mystery thrillers, all the tech is believable. The CCTV footage is grainy and can't be magically enhanced into a hires mugshot and the footage from a handheld camcorder at full zoom across the street just looks like that. The use of a mobile phone for a live video feed is inspired and yet so simple.
The unrealistic bit, as before, is Bourne's almost Wolverine-like recuperation power but hey, it's Hollywood.
Nice to see Daniel Brühl as Franka Potente's brother. Tiny role but who knows, he might have gotten his foot in. However, I hope he continues to make high-quality Kino at home rather than end up as a third-rate Hollywood actor like Prochnow.
