A couple of weeks ago, I had the opportunity to shoot my friends of the Dark Wave band Last July at a fantastic location in Limehouse, London. This multistory abandoned warehouse is being kept as a film and photo location so despite it being in disrepair and rather filthy due to the missing roof and roosting pigeons, there is someone who looks after it and makes sure there aren't any dangerous spots. There's also a working toilet and running water. There are various areas well lit by daylight, not necessarily by windows but by missing bits of wall and roof, but also a few dark bits that would require some artificial lighting.
Here are a few examples that should give you a good idea of what the location can offer:

next door to the block of flats in which [livejournal.com profile] lark_ascending used to live. This has been empty for years and now someone has bought the site and they're demolishing it. I'd rather someone would have taken the time to restore it because it was special but sadly not. It's now going to be another modern block of concrete and plywood, no doubt. Two pics, more on flickr (click the big pic).

Yesterday evening, I met up with [livejournal.com profile] belaroo and [livejournal.com profile] tobykenobi to see A Scanner Darkly at the Arts. My brain is still hurting, but more from the visual effects of the chamaeleon suits than the content.
As Dick adaptions go, this one is probably closest to the source as it's very trippy and a bit incoherent, too so not necessarily something to watch on sleep dep.
Curiously, I didn't mind Keanu Reeves' shoddy acting because he played someone who was not quite with it and didn't know (or care) what he was doing, i.e. just like Reeves' characters usually come across although they shouldn't.
Definitely one to watch.

Because my brain was still too confused too go to sleep, I worked on some more photos, this time on the ones I had taken of the RAF Tuddenham site where the airsoft event was held:
