Scratch that early night

I randomly browsed the TV listings and Bravo are showing Robot Chicken, The Venture Brothers and Sealab 2021 from midnight!

Rock!

ETA: They are indeed showing (some of) Adult Swim every day from midnight. My prayers have been answered... Bah, no Harvey Birdman...

Right

Everything's prepped, the potatoes (tossed with some duck fat I kept and the meat marinade) are roasting in the oven, the veg (kohlrabi, podded broad beans and chopped chard stems) is ready to be cooked and the lamb chops are out of the fridge to warm up a bit.
Now it only needs to be ready before Dr Who starts...

I also finally opened the bottle of Vina Carmen organic Cabernet Sauvignon I've had for a while (bought via Rivernene) and it's gorgeous. Dark and fruity but still reasonably light. Should work very well with the lamb.

Damn, that was tasty

the lamb chops were just as tasty as they looked and they still had a slight touch of pink inside and were moist and flavourful and wonderful. The spuds and veg (just seasoned with salt/pepper and cooked with a glug of olive oil) were spot on, too, the spuds crunchy on the outside and fluffy on the inside and the veg just right with lots of bite.
