[Memery] Top Five/Ten
7 Mar 2007 11:02 amComment with the words "Top Ten" or "Top Five", and I will reply with a subject for which you will generate a top ten (or top five) list. Post the list and these instructions in your own journal, if you want to.
whollyrandom gave me Top Five Vegetarian Dishes. In no particular order and not necessarily things I've cooked:
1) Wild Mushroom and Spinach Risotto - most likely one of the tastiest dishes I've ever cooked and it gets better every time.
2) The Wrestler's Green Veg Curry
3) Mushroom Stroganoff
4) A nice big mixed leaf (incl. rocket, baby spinach etc.) salad with cherry tomatoes, lots of red onions and feta cheese. When it's really hot in summer, I rarely need much more.
5) Broccoli smothered in thick blue cheese sauce and baked in the oven

Date: 7/3/07 11:33 am (UTC)Our old office was just down the road so I used to eat about once a week there for lunch and might well go back after the bridge has been built.
If you don't fancy eating in a smoky environment (it's a pub, after all), you might want to wait til July.

Date: 7/3/07 12:03 pm (UTC)Can't give you the curry recipe as I don't know it but I'll write up the stroganoff one soon but it's very simple indeed (basically, sautee onions and sliced mushrooms, season with paprika, salt and pepper and add enough sour cream to make a sauce).
