Nice evening

After (cold) dinner and reading a bit I headed to the fairground as it had stopped raining quite a while ago.
Walked around a bit, took a few photos, met an old school buddy and sat down to chat and drink a Weizen. As he had to leave, I wandered some more, taking more photos, some of which came out wonderfully.
Met more random people from school days and other friends I don't get to see often (during this time of year, usually).
Walked home and started on the photos. Some of them came out absolutely brilliantly, others had focussing issues (too busy and moving subjects, too dark), will do better tomorrow. All taken with the 50mm f1.4. Technical details to come for the geeks.
For some reason, I can't connect to fotopic so the gallery is here:
I'm getting odd disconnections, having to restart my laptop so I might be able to post and read even less than anticipated.
Tomorrow will be a lazy day during the day, and more Wiesenfest in the evening. Hopefully the weather will hold.

Date: 9/7/05 12:18 am (UTC)It's not just a funfair but a traditional festival as well where the school children play odd games and take part in a huge procession through town.
It'll be a lot easier to explain with pictures so I'm waiting until those are up Sunday night.
Basically, Friday and Saturday night is funfair, the official program starts on Sunday and is repeated on Monday (which is a public holiday in my hometown) with the funfair running from about 2pm to midnight each day.
