iTunes help needed

I just wanted to get the Melissa Etheridge/Joss Stone duet from the Grammies award so I downloaded iTunes but it tells me it's not available in the UK store. Is it possible to connect to the US store and if so, how? Or would some kind US friend be able to get it for me?
Thanks in advance!

And then they wonder why people go the illegal route...
I do hope it's going to end up on a compilation somewhere.

Date: 22/3/05 12:33 am (UTC)It's the bastard DRM that stops me from going with iTunes. Otherwise they would have a customer.
It's also the bastard DRM on the iPod that stops me buying one of those too; there's no way I'm buying an mp3 player that won't play anything bought from any service other than iTunes.
So all in all, that leaves me with the only accessible route to the music I want to download being from grey area P2P

Date: 22/3/05 08:19 am (UTC)As for the whole DRM thing with buysing a song from another country. Get someone inthe US to buy the track, burn it onto a CD as an audio track and re-rip it as lossless. You shouldn't lose too much int he way of quality and it'll then play without the DRM/country problems ;)

Date: 22/3/05 09:48 am (UTC)The whole fiasco has seriously turned me off to Apple though. I can't see them as any less greedy then Microsoft any more, and I can't condone their business practices any more than I can with the Gates Empire.
They still have the best industrial and user design though, and I'd still like a Mac as a graphics workstation.
Just not as much as I once did.
