Stefan Raab was the manager (& hosted the primaries to select the German candidate), as far as I'm aware.

I did see political voting- it's the only possible explanation for the UK getting any points...

The guy that played the Eldane last night was a bit-part player who's been in LOADS of things as small parts I believe. It took me ages to think of it, but I think he might well have played the Dad of Harry Enfield's Kevin the Teenager character.
