Those of you who have the DVD sets, when you have a quiet moment, could you check if Patterns of Force (second season, the one with the Nazis) has a German audio track? I know it's never been shown on German TV but I'm wondering if they actually produced the dub.

Mentioning TOS, has anyone seen the remastered episodes and knows if/when they will be shown on UK TV?

According to that incredibly accurate (grin!) source WikiPedia
"In Germany, this episode was considered as exploiting Nazi crimes for entertainment. It was rated "16" and thus never shown on regular broadcasts of the series. It was not until the late nineties that this episode was first shown on German TV."

I'm just checking my copy and it does indeed have a German audio track. The guy doing The Shat sounds like he's about 80!

I'm not sure about the remastered episodes. This makes no mention of plans to broadcast them over here.

Maybe not so bad. I think they should be left alone although some digital cleanup would probably benefit it.

A German Dub exists for broadcast too, albiet in Swiss German as it was shown on Swiss German Television on their normal run.

I don't think I've ever heard of Swiss German dubs. Are you sure they don't just get the "normal" German one? That has to sound hilarious! I don't think I could keep a straight face. ;o)
