Outside the Abbey ruins is an odd sculpture consisting of various bits, one body like structure, various balls with chunks broken out of them revealing faces and other bits and an obelisk. Now I can't remember what it's called but the artist had an Scandinavian name. Reading people? Anyway, here are a few details.

It all looks rather jumbled up when you look at the whole thing but just picking out a few details makes it rather interesting. As a reference, the faces or the "tower" in the second photo are about 6cm high.

I shall probably be wandering down that way at some point tomorrow - I'll get the name for you then.

Thank you!
If you have the chance to visit Reading, go check out the Abbey ruins (the sculpture is on the far side, outside and opposite the bit that's alongside the prison walls) and the restored Forbury Gardens (they were finished last year).

Feel free to friend me but beware, I also post a lot of drivel among the recipes and photos. :o)

I just checked your LJ, you work for the Cirque de Soleil? That is absolutely awesome!

re: drivel, well me too. If you're browsing my posts, and just want the Alegria/cirque related stuff, just hit the life in the tent tab on a public post. Liked the DeviantArt site.

It looked pretty new. It's down the far end, outside the bit that's next to the prison walls.
The photos are just of details.
