Comments and criticism as always appreciated.
I'm going to get rid of irrating bits of wall, sockets etc. in the final versions but I think most of the shots worked quite well.

Look! No hard shadows on the background! :o)

The rest of the preview is on flickr.

It's definitely one of my favourites, too.
The sun had decided to almost completely break through the clouds that moment so that helped to bring out the colours.

I don't blame you in the slightest.

m'dear, you are so much more than lovely hair.

With that particular photo, you are framed just right to emphasize the lines of your face, your fair skin, and looking up you look to be.. inspring hope!

Definately a worthwhile pic ;-)

You are getting very good at making people look beautiful.

[not that I'm doubting [livejournal.com profile] wildrogue looks good without Ozzoid aid, but you bring it out extremely well]

I enjoyed it, too. :o)

No, by all means. I'd be happy to make some icons for you, too.
Also, feel free to pass on the flickr link but emphasize that these are only rough versions.

I think that they are a great set of shots. My favourite of them is the first, but possibly due to the hair, which is a bit of a softer look.

The fifth is also fantastic. Its really Helmut Newton-esque, with the very strong shadow. From a photographic point of view, I think its by far the best. Brilliant.

Thank you, this means a lot.

The hair was a typical example for my lack of (remembering) attention to detail. We did a few with the hair down, then some with her hair up which looked better for the shots I had in mind and then I forgot about it later in the gardens. *grump*

I've got an evenly lit version of the fifth as well. This was basically just a fun test (with the diffused flashgun sitting on the floor between us) but I was impressed how nicely symmetrical the shadow came out.
While likening my feeble attempts to the work of Newton is going well too far, I do think that the classic/retro style is my thing.

On the other hand, I'm confused. I've managed to get rid of hard shadows in most photos (the combination of bounced flash from front left and additional light source from the right worked fine) and now you prefer the one with the shadow. ;o)

Nice pics dude.

I wonder if you'd be able to do this with a male model...

Thanks, mate!
I'll be taking photos of [livejournal.com profile] davedevil in a few weeks' time so we'll see. I'm developing an eye for picking out the interesting aspects in people so that should work, too. I'm definitely up for the challenge.
Traditionally, genders tend to be reversed between photographer and model, though.
