I have six of the buggers (dlab7.com deliver their large prints in tubes rather than flat-packed, 8 or 9 per tube and when you order a few, you get loads of tubes - but still only pay 50p for p&p).

They are quite sturdy, have removable plastic caps on both ends, diameter is 8cm, length 35cm.
I guess these would be of interest to the regular ebayers among you.

Someone on freecycle in Manchester was asking for them a while ago as gerbil chewing things - do you know any gerbil owners?

No but they'd be wasted. They'd be really good for posting stuff that needs to be protected from damage.

You also could build one of those tube castles for hamsters etc. from them. :o)

Hammie castle! My sister had a rotastack with a hamster in, and the first day we got it, Sam, the cat, broke the tubes open and ate Carpet's ears. He lived to be 8 years old!
