Kreuzkonzert
1 Mar 2006 11:30 pmWent to Battle of the Bands at The Junction where I ran into
vyvyan,
razornet,
jasonooc,
briggsy,
casilda and
surje but not
akonken.
Had a brief chat with
devalmont, too. I'd never ever seen someone being so nervous. ;o)
Had missed the first band but saw the next two who were alright and technically not bad at all but not my cup of tea.
Kreuzdammer, on the other hand, were and they put on one hell (almost literally) of a show. Despite the glitch of the backing track not wanting to start at the beginning, they were the most professional band.
If you can and they're playing near where you are, go and see them. They ROCK.
Surprisingly, having seen the audience before consisting mainly of spooky or indie kids, most of them didn't run away when KD started. ;o)
I took loads of photos. There was plenty of light but very little from the front, except for the strobes which made randomly finding the correct exposure quite challenging as I either good too dark or blown out pictures, despite underexposing by two stops. On the other hand, this meant that I got some cool silhouette shots.
ETA: They lost to the band who were on before them by half a bloody point... :o(
(thanks to
briggsy for the info)
