Random King moment

I'm watching the Kingdom Hospital TV multi-parter and in the first episode there's this painter jogging along a road. The view cuts to a guy in a van. There's a dog in the back who just got into the cooler box for some juicy steaks. The driver is distracted, looks around and tries to get the dog off the steaks. Thus distracted, he veers off the road a bit and runs over the painter.
Recognise this? Yep, exactly the same happens to Stephen King in The Dark Tower (or is it Song of Susannah?).
Lazy sod. ;oP

Speaking of Danish originals, have you seen the orginal Nightwatch? (not the poor remake with Ewan McGregor)
