Both in the real and the fantasy world.
In my hometown it had -20 degrees C last night (that's -4 F for the Yanks and conservative Brits ;o), with about -15 during the day and it's said to become even colder during the weekend. There's about an inch of snow as well. Ah, I'm looking forward to it. Dry cold with snow, best winter weather there is.
There will be a new CGI film called Ice Age in March, with a scary squirrel as the main character (see pic). The trailer is hilarious. I want to see it now!
Oh well, I guess I'll see LotR on Wednesday morning first, there are still tickets for the 11:00 showing. I don't think there will be too many kids, should be alright. Depends what screen it'll be shown, I want to see it in one of the big ones.
OK, off to silly vid evening now, bye!

The weather

Re: The weather
Date: 14/12/01 07:03 pm (UTC)It's been a bit mixed over the last couple of years.
We usually get a cold (with snow) week or so in the last third of November, then it warms up again, and if we're lucky it's white for Christmas again.
In recent years, we haven't had that much snow, a couple of inches maybe. Up in the hills (people in the UK would call them mountains), there's usually maybe a foot or two, just enough for cross country skiing.
I remember times where it used to snow a foot or more during the night. That hasn't happened in 10 years or more.
My hometown is in Northeast Bavaria, very close to the Czech border and about 200 miles northeast of Munich.
If it goes well, I will have a white christmas.
I'll take pictures. :o)
