Happy New Year!

Many thanks for the texts etc last night.

Yesterday was lazy with sleeping until noon as I watched Zatoichi so I could return it today. Fine film indeed, if slightly confusing as to the actual background.
Did some last minute shopping and then headed off to Farcet. Helped autumn_storm with food prep and made Mousse of Doom™.
Lounged around a bit watching Battlestar Galactica and then guests arrived. The party was very relaxed and chilled, just as intended. More DVDs were watched incl. The Call of Cthulhu, then there was chlinking glasses for midnight and then we watched Volcano High, an Aftermath present from raggedy_man. Er, yes. Some interesting effects but very very strange indeed. Then everybody who hadn't already left or crashed did so.

Today I got up around 10, mooched around a bit, had ginger bread and other leftovers for breakfast and then more DVDs were watched, this time courtesy of belak_krin. First, a horrible dub version of Twin Warriors and then various episodes of The Tick which just rocked mightily.

After the last guests had left, I had a short but quite successful photo session with autumn_storm,  a preview of which will be posted later tonight.

All in all, a very nice start into the New Year.

Ross got me Volcano High for my birthday this year (although one of my summer flatmates has subsequently stolen it, I intend to get it back!). It's hilariously weird! And Sean Pertwee as the narrator. WTF?
