Hmmm, I got up just before 5 this afternoon, I just hope this was just exhaustion and not the start of another lurgy attack. Feel fine, though. Even the neck muscles aren't complaining anymore.

Some part of me feels really bad about not going to Brum Mage and hence Isi and Andy missing it, especially as Isi was really looking forward to it and I'm sorry about it.
However, another part of me is going "I'm driving to every bloody game, I'm not your bloody chaffeur, gimme a break, the fact that I do have a car doesn't mean I have to give everybody lifts all the time. If I'm going to a game, I'm more than happy to because it's cheaper for me as well when other people chip in petrol money but if I'm not going, bad luck!"

Sorry if this sounded bad but I'm just dumping my brain at the moment.

Yup. I know what you mean on that one. I always make it very clear that my lifts aren't guaranteed and that I might bail for any reason at any moment. I'm more than happy to drive if I am going or if I have nothing else to do (cf scotland for those that know what I am talking about) but if I feel dead or something then I don't like to drive. Especially, as you say, if there is other people's safety to consider.

Ozzy, you did the right thing. :)

I don't think anyone did actually give you a hard time about it. I know I didn't.

I'm not saying anyone did. Everybody was being understanding, but Isi and Andy weren't that happy.
It was more of a case of something I had wanted to say for quite some time, not specific to Sunday.

I wasnt that happy that we couldnt go to Birmingham, -NOT- that you couldnt give us a lift. There is a difference and its a very important one. Its your call, your car and your choice. I have always had that attitude with everyone that gives me a lift, sometimes it may not show that well but thats me. There is only one person who I treat like a taxi service when it comes to lifts, but thats Buzz so I'm not sure if he technically counts as a person. Every single other person I get a lift off I count as a friend offering to do me a favour, because they are going the same way and they dont mind me tagging along to split the cost and to provide some company. If you cant make it then fine, I dont have an issue with that. I'll work out another way of getting there, if I cant then I cant but I will be annoyed with not being able to make the event -NOT- with the person who I was going to be getting a lift with.
Unless its Robin cause he put diesil in. Then I just rib him forever and never let him forget ;-)

One thing I would like to say: Being a person who is dependent on lifts -Sucks-. Not only do you end up feeling like a liche but you also are beholden upon others to get anywhere. Its not nice to have that lose of control and its not nice to be unable to repay your mates. One of the biggest things I'm looking forward to about passing my test is being able to give people lifts, I am honestly looking forward to you guys being driven places by me and I finaly get the chance to say thanks, to repay the favour and to share the burden.

Exactly as I meant it, Andy, you and Isi weren't being happy to go to Brum, which, in the end, was my fault. However, you were cool with it and got to see HP, so I don't feel that bad, after all.
I also called you well before hand (well, at least at a time I thought you should be up) to give you the opportunity to maybe sort out an alternative mode of transport.
If there's one thing I hate then it's feeling unreliable, hence my knack for being on time, which freaks out so many people ;o)

And I'm looking forward to getting a lift from you and will thank you as soon as I touch firm ground and manage to open my eyes again. ;o)

I understand your trauma as a taxi man, still to me it's just another service that LangridgeCorp® Hotels and Taxis provides ;)

DA101 into a AB101 doesn't go.

Did you really put diesel into a petrol engine?

Thankfully, the nozzles on diesel and petrol pumps are different, so you actually can't fit a diesel nozzle into a petrol tank (same for leaded and unleaded).
