I can't see the other side of the river anymore. The chimney of the steam museum is just about visible through the dense fog.
Good thing I won't have to drive across country tonight.

Update (10 mins later): Visibility has shrunk to about 50 yards. Now I can't even see this side of the river anymore...

Driving down the A14 on Saturday night was fun, seeing brake lights suddenly come on as people hit banks of dense fog is something that everyone should do.

Oh well bizzards forecast for this weekend and guess who is on her way to Yorkshire!

I'll be driving across the edge of the Peak District on my way to Manchester and back. I'm actually not too worried because I know how to drive in snow but a lot of other people don't. :o(

That has occured to me, too but so far no creaky ship sounds or shuffling hordes of undead soldiers - yet.
Good thing St. Andrew's church is on the other side of the road, I'll see if I can get the pastor to cast a solid gold cross for me. ;o)

Later on Monday night I had to drive my son first to the out-of-hours doctor in Chesterton, then later still to A&E. Visibility was about 10 yards at that point...
