So many films, so little time:
Serenity, Wallace & Gromit, Corpse Bride, Saw II. Then from the 3rd, Brothers Grimm. Goblet of Fire from the 18th (that can wait).
Have huge photo backlog, too. I need to quit my job!

I've only seen Serenity twice and need to see it at least one more time while it's still on.
Might be tempted to do one on Tuesday after pub as it's a non-Calling week.

Aye. I've seen it twice and it was much better second time around.

I should hopefully be seeing Saw 2 tonight.

Serenity was pretty good fun.

I haven't seen Wallace & Gromit or Corpse Bride yet however. I don't know if I'll get the time either in the near future.

Some interesting films coming soon of course, AeonFlux for example. Next year should be a good year I'm hoping.

Let me know what you think of Saw2. The first one was brilliant so I'm a bit sceptic about a sequel.

Yeah, AeonFlux looks quite good. Do you remember the animated version on MTV?

Saw 2 is as good as, if not a little better, than the first one with a couple of interesting twists to the storyline. It's worth seeing, especially if you have a spare £1.50 off voucher for the cinema and the time. Quite a few icky scenes ...

I vaguely remember the MTV version of AeonFlux, but it was a long time ago...

Cool, thanks.

Yeah, might have been late 80s/early 90s.

A friends interpretation of Saw II:

"Well.. it was good- but a long way from great. In a nutshell the film was a badly written but entertaining gorefest, with lots of TCM type cruelty and lashings of sadism. I found it very close to the priginal cube film, as it was once again based on a group of people trapped in a large building trying to escape and figure out deadly puzzles. What let it down was the gargantuan plotholes, the lack of any sympathetic characters, the sheer sadism of the experience. I mean it really felt like they worked out a load of gruesome scenes (which to be honest were made more gruesome via good editing but which werent particularly imaginative subject-wise) which were strung together with a paper-thin plot. There were so many bloody holes it was just inane at times.

If you like gory horror films then you'll enjoy this- but you will walk out of the cinema feeling pretty empty. In many ways it is better than saw I, but at the end of the day it just is not that great of a film."

I'm goping the sadism will save it for me.

Personally I need to quit my job to keep upto date with LJ :(. Need to kick this filthy habit as more productive pastimes like music reviews are taking a back seat ;(

[livejournal.com profile] rozk posted a review of Brothers Grimm yesterday - doesn't sound too promising. Serenity is great, hope to see W&G this weekend if I can manage it.

Wallace & Gromit is nice. You don't need to see Brother's Grimm, in my opinion. Watch A History Of Violence or Kiss Kiss Bang Bang instead.

*nods* I've heard medicore reviews of BG but very good ones of History of Violence so might well follow your suggestion.
