Probably through suggesting its 'parody' rather than rip-off. Nightwatch does indeed look spanky.

I'm afraid that I didn't think much of Nightwatch. I saw it at the film festival, and it was evidence that just because a film wasn't made in Hollywood doesn't make it good. The plot was quite incoherent, the acting unconvincing.

The nifty subtitles are fun though.
