Bah! and Yay!
16 Sep 2005 09:12 amBah:
Yesterday morning started out wonderfully gloomy so I thought "perfect for taking spooky pictures tonight" but I didn't want to do it during torrential rain.
Obviously, it's bright and sunny this morning.
What often surprises me is that a country that's so used to rain and water can't build roads with proper drainage. After a few minutes of rain, there are deep puddles everywhere and hardly a gutter where the water doesn't stand.
Yay:
I'm going to Synthetic Culture tonight. It's a fiver when you turn up dressed as a pirate.
Anyone else going?

Even after almost ten years in this country I will never understand this "that's the way it's always been, why do something about it" attitude Brits have...
