Berlin is go!

I'll be there Fri 21st to Sun 23rd of October.
Total price for the flight has risen by 6 quid (somewhere in the charges) from yesterday, probably because of the fuel hike but it's still OK, especially as I won't have to pay for a hotel.

I'm visiting lsur who is the first person I actually know in Berlin. Plan is to go to Night of the Living Dead at the K17 (goth club on three floors from trad to Noise) and to explore the city.

The opportunity to finally see my capital is finally here and I can afford it so I'd be mad not to do it.

I had a chance to go there just after the wall came down. Mendi and I were living in Belgium and Alexi had just been born and so logistics prevented us from making the trip. I regret that. It would have been great to have seen it then.

Is it the capital of Germany for everything now or does Bonn still retain some functions?

Ah shame. Thing was, I wanted to avoid Berlin for a few years after the wall came down as everybody was going but then I moved to the UK.

AFAIK, all the ministries and offices have now been moved.
