Coming back to the random thoughts about ICC

- The way the US pronounce some things:
Camarilla like a Mexican would,
Bru-Ha, which always causes the UK Cammies to giggle and
Tremeare

Very strange ;o)

I know people who prounounce Brujah 'Bru-HA'... it just irritates me for some reason.

Tremeare? *giggles a bit* That strikes terror in to me.....

If we're being pedantic, they're actually right, except it's Italian and not Spanish.

Other Vamp words that have different pronunciations.

VEN-TRU vs VON-TRUE
THAWMA-TURGY vs THOW-MATURGY
VOW-UL-DURY vs VAWL-DURY
ZIM-ISKY vs CHIM-ISKY

anyone else?

Mind you, though, I have heard someone refer to the power of a mage as being part of their AREET.

I know it's Italian, that's why I complain (meaning "little room").

Yes, but don't the Italians and the Spanish pronounce their 'll' as 'y'; the main difference is the spanish lisp on 'd' and the Italian soft c which becomes a 'Ch'. I know because I cocked up my oral in GNVQ Spanish by using Italian pronunciation. Would't mind, but I don't even speak Italian, except for the usual bits and 'non dimenticarmi,' something an Italian girl said to me once.
So, then, the Cam-a-riya pronunciation is actually probably right, except that in Spanish the accent is usually on the penultimate syllable, making it Cam-a-RI-ya.

I'm just waffling now. I'll stop.

Sorry, I'm the one who did Italian here, they don't do the "y" thing, they pronounce double vowels double, i.e. CamaRIL-la.
As to which pronounciation is right, who knows? White Wolf bastardize everything...
And it's Are-TE...

Well given that WW is an American company its most likely that the American versions of the words are "right" as that is how the creators probably pronounce them.

Then again language is an individual thing anyway, accents, regional dilects and suchlike make a bit of a mess of any 'correct' way to speak anything.
