Diary of an ICC Virgin - Friday
23 Oct 2001 04:03 pmWent to dealers room to check out WW but they only had new Changeling stuff, nothing I was sent to get. So I only got a Tremere badge and an Ankh necklace for my new Tremere.
Then, the Changeling game. Wow, the 40's costumes on Thur were good, the Changeling stuff was even better. Sluagh in old lace, one with cool wings, Sidhe ladies in wonderful gowns, Satyrs and Trolls with horns (not all Trolls blue, though), Pooka with animal ears and tails. Too bad I didn't get the chance to speak to the only other Boggan who was there. If one person has the right to play a Troll then it's Mike Bramnik. This guy is huge. I don't think he played one though, at least he wasn't blue.
I was surprised that I got so many compliments for my costume, especially the eyebrows as they are so simple.
The game itself was good, the Sidhe were right arseholes, especially High King David. Well, the arrest of Jack Morgan will have dire consequences, all across the world. Let's see how this goes. After getting access to the kitchens and sitting out of game for half an hour, I had prepared a selection of culinary delights from Albion and wanted to present it to the High Court, but the bastards stormed off without admitting me :o(. At least I got the Herald (or whatever that Satyr was) to deliver it...
After that I did the usual Sam thing of going round, introducing myself, offering treats and inviting people to Albion.
I think I avoided plot mostly and only had to do three or so challenges because people tried to steal from my tray or seduce me ;o).
After devouring a huge and lovely cranberry muffin for dinner, I went to the planning meeting for our Malk prank. I was so excited but ... well, more on the Saturday entry.
The C/A game was a rather quiet affair, just the Malk plot I later walked in on was slightly disconcerting. Some cool costumes there as well, makes me wonder how many suitcases some people must have brought.
Hung out in the Hospitality room afterwards (great thing that, kudos to all volunteers doing shifts there), exchanging Malk things with David (Feltman) and Steve (Spookulus).
Went to bed as I was about to collapse.

Date: 25/10/01 09:22 am (UTC)Oh, and effects without the possibility of a retest or suppression (spending Willpower etc.) still bug me and are ST Cheese.

Date: 25/10/01 09:46 am (UTC)I can't believe I forgot to include allowances for spending Willpower and making retests. Thanks for noting that.
If you have any other comments on the plot, please let me know. I am in the process of writing Part II, so input would be helpful.

Date: 25/10/01 10:39 am (UTC)you win, the effect lasted half an hour, draw: 1 hour, lose: 2 hours.
On Friday, I managed to persuade the ST to do a Meditation challenge to subdue the effect, which worked. It didn't work on Saturday anymore...
I'm not too bothered about it, being only a visitor and my character will be retired this month. But as this is about to become a national plot as I've heard, somebody should look at it.
