karohemdHad room service bring me breakfast. Very nice omelette and things, just the coffee was too weak. When will the Americans ever learn how to make proper coffee?
Check-in was on Cam time, i.e. an hour late. And there those of us who thought preregistering meant quicker service, but they couldn't get the system to run at first. Anyway, no problems, no silly questions about MC or membership cards and no questions at IC check-in, either. They just didn't have my Changeling but I had a copy with me, thankfully.
Met Euan Walker and Chris Buser.
Went to my room to drop of stuff and when I came back, there she was, the woman I had wanted to meet for so long: The Nikki. Very cool, funny and sweet, just as I imagined. What a woman. Too bad I didn't have the chance to spend more time with her as I'd wanted to and she always evaded my camera ;o)
White Wolf weren't in the dealers' room as they had decided to go to Disneyland instead :o( The Kimmikins stuff was very cool. If I had had the money (150 bucks) and more importantly the room to transport it, I would have bought that red dragon. Very very nifty.
As I wanted to do some sightseeing, I asked several people if they wanted to come along and Charlotte had the brilliant idea to hire a limo. We later found out that the silly girl had gone all out and hired the top of the range stretch limo with bar. So Charlotte, Chris, Dave Wade, Christi and myself were driven to Hollywood in style. We saw the star tiles, Superman, Mann's Chinese Theater (too bad it was all scaffolded up), went into Ripley's Believe It or Not (weird stuff) and wandered around before going back by taxi.
We were late for the Welcome Rally and just heard Michelle (US NST) speak.
In the evening it was the soft roleplay event Hommage to Hollywood. Some really cool costumes and cool music (just a bit loud so conversations were only really possible in the corridors). Met Mr Green, a very cool Malk (and Jason is a very cool player), just like the rest.
Walked in and out of the Sabbat game to take pictures (cool thing when you're part of the photo team). Also very good costumes and makeup (the Harbringer rocked, and why on earth was there someone with antlers strapped to his back?).
As I was quite knackered from walking around in Hollywood, I got to bed rather early (about 1 am).
