OK, this looks exciting.
Can anyone tell me what happened in the first half hour? I tuned in just as the plane crashed and lost a bit afterwards as I was in the middle of cooking.

Correction, I tuned in during the doctor's flashback, I think.

Mostly, the first half hour is the plane crash, and the introduction to the various characters on the beach. I don't think you missed anything vital.

I thought that it was just character intros but it's always nice to get to know them while it's still quiet. ;o)

Aha. In that case, the vodka he slipped into his pocket on the aeroplane was important.

He slipped into the forest, used the bottle of vodka to clean up the cuts on his back, and Kate puts in stitches for him with a sewing kit.

I can't remember whether this was before or after he looked after everyone else.

I think that's the only significant thing you might have missed.

The brother's watching it right now; however, a request for a brief synopsis met with a rather blunt refusal. It got as far as 'plane crashed, they went to look for cockpit, they found cockpit, they also found a giant monster that nobody knew...' and then it broke off when I asked him to come into me and dictate quickly, as Big Brother is more interesting.
