Cardboard storage boxes?

Where in Cambridge can I get some cardboard storage/moving boxes? My parents will be visiting and I would like to offload a shitload of books and CD cases to them (I don't have the room for shelves so they'll all go into folders).

Banana boxes are excellent for books etc as you can't over load them and they have handles. Ask at the greengrocer or supermarket if they will save them for you or if there's a time of day when it's best to collect them.

That's a good idea, although they are open. The stuff will need to be stored in our loft so should ideally be in closed boxes.

They stack good tho and have handles and are v. v. strong.

If you are having to ship stuff overseas then you might want to invest in some book crates tho but I imagine they don't come cheap. Speak to a shipping/removals company.

be very careful with them in the folders. I had 3 CDs crack when I had them in folders and had to transfer them all back into cases :\

You can get document boxes with tids, 8 for about 10 quid I think. I have used them to move house twice now, makes things a lot easier.

Oo. elise, strongtrousers and libellum were mildly complaining about having a lot of empty boxes lying about after moving, and I was thinking of asking if I could nick some for when I move on the 3rd September.
