Really impressed by the kings Cross shot - Don't think I've seen it that empty - kinda spooky actually

My view of King's cross has always been filthy dirty and full of drunks and prostitutes, your photo makes it look a lot more pleasent :)

Thank you! :o)
The conversion to black and white with the contrast cranked up and the high ISO setting at a reasonably small aperture (f8) just adds to the feel.
I'm very happy with this one.

It was taken from the back of platform 1 which is quite often empty for some reason.

That's outside. ;o)
Actually, the whole area has improved considerably in the last years.

It may be outside but I had to walk past it every day so if affected my perception of the whole area station and all (maybe unfairly).

I'm glad to hear it has improved, I've not been there for over 3 years, any improvement from then has got to be good.

I like both of them, though I agree the King's Cross one is a bit more striking.

I'm kind of tempted to try to enter m'self. Hmmm...

The Kings Cross one is beautiful - I love the black & white in it - but it says I've already voted & given it a 6! I've not voted and it's worth more than that!

Ah OK.
Go here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/arts/apictureofbritain/gallery/
and search for "Andreas Beck" in the photographer field at the bottom. You'll see all of my submitted photos there.
That should work.

Aah - thank you! There were a few more I'd not seen either.

They are very good! Did you plan these visits?

Thank you!

Not exactly, the plan was to take photos at Canary Wharf (http://ozzy-d70.fotopic.net/c408426.html).
The Kings Cross one was on the way there when the almost empty platform and the atmosphere hit me and the one of the Windmill was in the evening on my way to find a restaurant, which I didn't so I went to Taro instead (or rather it rained so hard I didn't want to walk any further).
