Tai Chi update
2 Jun 2005 01:24 amToday's session went really well.
The first set was rather smooth for me. I felt really comfortable during "Ward off Monkey" thanks to last week's practice and even the kicks worked a lot better than usual.
More Monkey practice and then proceeding up to "Fan through Back", practicing the moves over and over again to refine them. There is so much to remember, so much to pay attention to but there are things I can do now of which I thought "How am I ever going to do this properly?" only a few months ago. The more I improve, the more fun I have and I think the others in the group feel the same.
Two events in June and July: Tai Chi in the Park in Milton Keynes on the 26th (large number of people demonstrating Tai Chi to the public who are encouraged to join in) and an Intensive on the 17th of July in Stamford which I might not be able to make as it's the day after the KM gig. The Sabre Workshop is in August already and I don't think I'll be ready by then. Let's see how things go by the end of this month and I'll ask Sam what she thinks. It's also about twice the cost of the General Workshop and it's in the middle of summer so probably not ideal. We'll see.
