karohemdQNTAL is a medieval-inspired ethereal project originally devised by Deine Lakaien's Ernst Horn. Despite him leaving after the second album (and creating Helium Vola), they pretty much kept to the style, combining ethereal electronics with real (traditional) instruments and a beautiful female voice.
Ozymandis is their fourth album and while there isn't exactly anything new, it's a case of "if it ain't broke, don't fix it". The tracks are very varied as usual, ranging from almost pure electronica via crossover to pure acoustic numbers with a mix of English, Latin and medieval German lyrics.
Flamma is the only really bouncy dancefloor filler (despite sounding a lot like something by Lamia probably because of the organ), though but I'm sure there will be club remixes available soon (Indiscrete would be perfect).
If you're going to WGT in Leipzig, don't miss their live performance!
Verdict: 4/5 (perfect but could have been a bit more innovative)
