The TNG episode "Relics" is on so I've surfed around a bit looking for info on the Dyson sphere theory. Much to my surprise, I came across this little sentence:
"Freeman Dyson was born in 1923 in Crowthorne, Berkshire, England".

Ring any bells?

A few of Stephen Baxter's books deal with Dyson spheres, specifically "the time ships", which I would reccomend anyone reads. It being a fantastically worthy sequel to H.G. Wells "The Time Machine".
