... went to Waitrose for shopping and got a bit carried away ... oooh, dark chocolate, oooh, Chanterelle mushrooms would go well with the prime Angus steak I bought instead of the pork fillet (which they didn't have) ... wow, German style bread which looks like the real thing (no, Rikk, not cinder blocks) ... hmmm, Sushi, yay Hot Lava Java, I'll be awake next week, plus some standard stuff (beer, bread, butter, salami, cream, snacks etc.).
Grand total: 42.94, gah...

Ozzy, I do exactly the same... Robert plays US football just up the road from the big Tesco's every Monday night, so to amuse myself, I go along & look at stuff.
Oooh, new barbeque sauce - must get; might be better than the brilliant BBQ sauce I have. Ooh, steak, ooh mangoes, oooh special offer.
The only problem with special offers is that they make me spend more money than I was going to coz I had never intended to buy one chicken get one half price.... Ho hum.

I usually get around the buy one chicken get one half price thing by living alone and not having a freezer, meaning two chickens would go off...
Mentioning Mangos, I only didn't buy one because they had already gone...
At least I managed to go past the wine racks hammering into my mind that I still have two bottles at home...

Hmm, it seems I use ellipses too much, as well...
