Blue sky, bright sunshine, crisp cold air, it's wonderful outside.
More Boston this afternoon and then the Blue Man Group live show tonight.
Dinner at Fire and Ice last night was really good. You choose what meat, veg, other bits and sauce you want from large counters, then take the bowls to a huge circular hotplate, where the cooks will prepare it for you. A bit like a Korean BBQ but not at a table and with less style but still very good food. And a salad bar with rather good dressings! It's also all you can eat so definitely good value for money. It was very busy when we got there (at about 9:45) and there were several birthday parties going on but service was reasonably quick once we finally got a table.
And then to see RHPS. Basically, you watch the film while (amateur) actors perfom the scenes on the stage below the screen and in the aisle. Their performance was not bad (they were miming) but they had some superb costumes and props, especially Riff Raff and Magenta's Transexual uniforms were as close to the original as you could get (including the wig).
The whole thing was entertaining, with full audience participation (incl. throwing stuff, I'm still finding rice in my pockets), with most of the audience heckles being unknown to me, some where clearly updated. There was some guy in the back who had a couple of really good ones.
Very late night so up late. Hey, I'm on holiday. OK, people are ready, update after tonight.

Date: 27/2/05 05:32 pm (UTC)Oh yes: When Riff Raff appears in the window as they walk up to the castle: "Hey Riff Raff, what's your favourite character in the Matrix? (then the line with morpheus and when people laugh) - And the geeks get it."
One of the the funniest was actually at the beginning in the car. When the windshield wipers moved to Brad's side: Asshole! onto Janet's side - Slut.
I was the only one doing the "One tit is bigger than the other" bit when Columbia was Medusa'd.

Date: 28/2/05 08:41 am (UTC)I was once in a viewing where these 2 peeps left the theatre due to us nuts. "We cant hear the show" was the reason even though it stated on the tickets with AP

It's from a silly movie of my childhood, called "Adventures in Babysitting". God I loved that movie.

*laughs*
LJ is weird. I go to a bookstore in Boston in the afternoon and in the evening I find a comment from a person working there. If I was less stable, I'd get really paranoid right now.

Date: 28/2/05 03:54 am (UTC)There should be an LJ community for stories like this. :o)
Then again, there might be already.
