Cambridge Requiem
20 Feb 2005 02:00 amVery positive thoughts for a first game of a background and system nobody knew, especially considering the number of new players, some of who had never LRPed before. We had 22 people signed in and only two visitors. So if we're keeping up numbers, we should have a local player base of almost 20 people, that's really rather good.
For me, it again showed that spontaneous character ideas work the best. Pretty similar to Sam my Boggan, my "dirty old man" concept (dodgy Nos paparazzi) seems to work. I just need to get better into the character and give him some unique traits and mannerisms. Thanks to the borrowed Mac and the presence of the camera, the looks were there so I'm quite pleased with that.
Photos are at the usual place. While taking the latter part of the photos without flash at high ISO, it occured to me that making the photos really grainy and blurred might actually work better as IC photos as vampires aren't supposed to show up well on film, so I left the OOC photos and character portraits in colour while blurring, adding noise to and removing the colour from the IC photos.
Please let me know what you think. If you don't like the photos, I can change them to colour again and take photos at normal exposure times next time.
I'd also welcome comments from my photography friends (
suzerain,
davefish,
surje et al) who don't necessarily play.
Bed now, loads of stuff to do tomorrow.

Date: 20/2/05 04:30 pm (UTC)hurm... i am rather tempted to give it a go at blurring the faces up some more to get some nice 'cannon' shots. this is if I can get my copy of Photo Deluze to stop moaning that 1GB of ram isn't enough for it
