- The Mumakil battle on the Pellenor fields is highly reminiscent of the Battle of Hoth.
- The helmet of the Witch King looks like the mask of the bad guy in the Scream films

The thing is, as explained in the extras, it was originally a different design (tall, straight cylindrical, with long spiky bits), similar to Sauron's helmet in the prelude sequence in Fellowship. It was abandoned because of that similarity...
