There goes a legendary radio DJ
26 Oct 2004 05:23 pmJohn Peel dies of a heart attack
OK, I'm a bit late but I was busy at work all afternoon.
I think neither
raggedy_man nor
dj_slingshot will mind if I dedicate the next Octaine to his memory.
His show was the one to listen to if you wanted to hear new, exciting and obscure music irrespective of genre, just like our little club (at least that was the original idea).
Shame I never got round to inviting him as some have suggested. :o(
Update: It's curious, I'm more shaken about this than any other bad news in quite some time. I hope there will be someone to step into his shoes and continue his work.
Dammit, I have tears in my eyes now...
