I almost booked a flight to St. Paul in October for the Vote for Change concert (Springsteen, R.E.M, John Fogerty) but couldn't find one under £450...

that concert's going to be all over the US - mostly for GOTV (get out the vote).

it would be so fun if you came here. but then we're hopefully going to france and italy in october.

That's why I picked St. Paul as I thought I could pop in and visit but I'm saving for my new toy and October would be a bad month for big spending, anyway (car insurance/tax).
