Gah, although I slept reasonably well, my neck is complaining. Must remember to bring pillow next time...
Hard-Drive last night was a bit Hm. It was OK but definitely not what we expected it to be. Far too much standard stuff (Once in a Lifetime TWICE plus Dead Stars and bloody Starsign). We came in on Nitzer Ebb's Join the Chant but it sort of went downhill from there.
The guest DJs (or rather the DJ and his caddy) played lots of mellow(ish) electronica, not bad but nothing to get us going, either, except Laibach's Tanz mit Laibach. As we had blagged flyers from the box office, we got in for 4 quid and drinks were cheap, so at least some good points. It was also pretty dead, not many people there, which doesn't really keep my hopes up regarding to the club's future.
Chatted to Reza (main DJ there) for a bit afterwards and they're hopefully going back to their original concept. Invited him to come along to Die Fabrik on Wednesday and he said he'd come along. Well, then I can show him what kind of music we were expecting. ;o)
The way back was reasonable. We had to wait for almost half an hour at Angel but managed to catch the bus straight away at Waterloo so we were at Evil a bit after 4.
Crawled out of my sleeping bag at about 10, said good-bye to
ditzy_pole and
ksirafai and headed off at around 11.
First stop was London Bridge where I wandered around Borough Market a bit, had a venison burger for breakfast and bought some gorgeous bread.
Then I went to Camden as I wanted to have a look in Resurrection Records for some final additions for Wednesday. Came out with five CDs. Bah.
Just managed to avoid the hassle at Kings Cross (anyone know what was going on?) and caught a train home.
Off to go shopping for the weekend now.
