Busy at work and home, gah.
Meet up with
robinbloke tonight to discuss cooking plans for Saturday, make shopping list, then finally start on the National photos.
Met up with
andrewdavies and
dj_slingshot at WUS last night to discuss Octaine things. Decided not to change anything for the time being.
Looks like
andrewdavies and
jasonooc will be running a Punk night soon.
Hm, we're slowly taking over the world. ;o)
WUS was good in a listen to music way, only danced to Skid Row because my leg was playing up, talked about "stuff" with Andy and had a relaxing time.
Plans:
Tonight and tomorrow night: National photos and shopping list.
Friday: shop big, make Dippadoom and prep things, most likely go to a late showing of Dawn of the Dead with people.
Saturday: sleep in, pack stuff, head over to Robin's and prepare feast, cook, feed bday party guests, hope they like it, chill, have fun, drink moderately, end the night with classic/bad DVDs, crash
Sunday: not sure yet but definitely: wake up at some point, help clear up, probably watch more DVDs and chill, get home and have an early night.
Monday: work, big Chinese dinner with close colleagues in the evening.
Have acquired superb bootleg of the Springsteen gig at Crystal Palace last year. This puts me in a very happy mood. Just have to really concentrate not to sing along.
Cool thing: I think I can hear my voice shouting "Boss Time!", when he asked "What time is it?" during Ramrod. I remember that no one around me did it.

Date: 24/3/04 01:47 pm (UTC)I'm going through a huge phase of re-discovering Springsteen - I've been bowled over by The Ghost Of Tom Joad - it's up there alongside Nebraska as far as I'm concerned

Date: 24/3/04 06:02 pm (UTC)I definitely agree with you re Ghost and Nebraska. The two most overlooked albums. Darkness is still my favourite, though.

Date: 24/3/04 06:00 pm (UTC)If official recordings of concerts were available, I'd happily buy them.
In my mind, bootlegging is different from pirating which I do not encourage, either. I'm guessing the majority of people who do buy bootlegs are fans like me. I could be wrong, though.
