Ooooh, almost comprehensive. I would add a joining sub-genre inbetween Fantasy Metal and Mediaeval for Pagan Metal. But that is probably just me.

I don't know... When I read 'Fantasy metal' the first thing I thought of was 'ooo, shiny mithril' and then that progressed on to a darkly light club with elves and dwarves dancing away.

Elves would be the tall, beautiful and arrogant cybers dancing to Synthpop and Girlie EBM and Dwarves would be the rivets stomping away to Harsh Electro, Powernoise and various kinds of Metal...

I sketched something similar many moons ago for Eraser On-Line, but it remaing something that never made it to the site. Mine had more arrows on it.
