Good Cam day
22 Feb 2004 12:15 amWas utterly shattered this morning so got up a lot later than intended. Thankfully, Tesco's wasn't that busy so I got everything I wanted and even made it to
andrewdavies' before 1.
Cooked pasta with a slightly spicy vegetarian sauce (tinned tomatoes, courgettes, mushrooms, green and red peppers, onion and garlic) and fresh parmesan which seemed to have gone down well except in Norm's case who doesn't like even a bit spicy...
I don't know what the hype is about this AGA thing. It took almost 20 minutes until the pasta water boiled. Another thing I don't like is that you can't regulate the heat properly. Yes, you can pull the pan further away from the center but that means that one end of the pan will be considerably hotter than the other. Give me an electric (ideally ceramic) hob anytime...
Rest of the game was interesting as well. Mystery!
Stopped off at home to get changed and headed to the Vamp game. Was rather quiet but I socialised a lot so that was good. Got involved in a project as well. ;o) Slowly getting the hang of the character, should be fully fledged in the next couple of sessions. Found that I really need props to help me along (BvR has costume, books and cane) so I took up playing with a coin which later happened almost unconsciously so I think that worked.
Photos will be on the Cam website sometime tomorrow.
Urgent housework tomorrow and then in the evening meet up with
poetman and chums to watch Battlestar Galactica.

Date: 22/2/04 12:24 am (UTC)You probably need a decent gas hob in addition.
I have worked with a Rayburn (better than Agas as they burn anything, including driftwood which is free). You get used to having to plan ahead.
Re:
Date: 22/2/04 12:34 am (UTC)Gas radiates too much heat for my personal comfort, though.
