One cm of snow that doesn't even settle and the whole city becomes gridlocked. By the looks of it, I'll be stuck here til 8 or longer as there would be no point in getting into the car now.

If there's snow, slow down, leave enough distance to the car in front, don't block intersections and everything will be cool. Morons!!

We've got sheet ice so bad that drivers have had to abandon their vehicles. Plus an accident involving two buses that completely blocked the town centre in briely hill (about 200 yards from me :/), another down the road in the Merry Hill centre, and the whole place is completely gridlocked.

Oh what joy. hence I'm hanging about in work until traffic starts moving (hopefully soon, or I'm fecking off to the pub and bugger driving anywhere. Sleeping bags in the boot!).

I'm deliberating the pub option as well as the heating seems to be on its downcycle now and it'll be cold soon.
Bugger is I wanted to write RP stuff (non-Cam)tonight and start sorting through the CDs I want to take to my set next week...

The other problem is, now there's no ice yet by the looks of it but there might well be later in the evening.

I need to put my sleeping bag back into my car...

I know we've got black/sheet ice close by due to the people abandoning cars news.. I dont think it's on my way home, but Fnord alone knows what route I will actually end up having to take!

I have a sleeping bag in the car, and a pub outside. What I don't have is my swipe card so i can get abck into the building :/

*sigh* I'm embarrassed sometimes. I often feel that we're a nation of under-preparers and over-reactors. It's just a bit of snow, FFS, and the whole country panics. I heard on the news that people were stocking up on bread and milk...
