Date: 28/1/04 04:39 pm (UTC)Talking of not beinmg a client....
Date: 29/1/04 04:08 pm (UTC)I've never had an account with Barclays, and my TSB account was left to rot so many years ago now I can't remember exactly how long it's been inactive.... certainly since before they started doing online banking.
Even if I was a customer I wouldn't be so stupid as to reply, but as a wise man once said: "There's a sucker born every minute!" (P.T.Barnum for those that don't know).
I considered going looking for addresses at the relevant bank websites so I could forward the mails to and so that they could warn their customers. But, in the end, I decided that I just couldn't be arsed and deleted them instead. If I get them again then I'll go surfing....
Oh, and about the spelling, have you not noticed how so many spam mails are deliberately mispelling key words like 'viagra' and so forth...?
Also many are using characters such as à, è, ì, õ, ü, ƒ, etc.... It's definitely a ploy to stop people using message rules to filter spam and stuff. Pisses me off no end, I'll tell ya!
