We rocked the house!
12 Dec 2003 03:08 amWow, good night with a reasonable turnout.
It wouldn't have been possible without the Pimp Ninja Squad:
kinkykay,
jasonooc,
hampsterboy and Paul D.
They went out a couple of times, accosting random people and handing them flyers. And they came.
Thank you very very much to
naranek and Taff/Slingshot (LJ?) for being our guest DJs. You guys rocked and we'll have you back anytime!
Thank you also to
hardwired for going out of your way to take care of
kinkykay at the end. It is very much appreciated.
It was one of the most varied nights music wise we had but strangely enough also the most commercial one. We need to work on the concept a bit and become a lot more commercial while staying true to our theme, which will be tricky. Maybe one obscure song for every three well-known ones, not the other way around.
The new decks suck golf balls through straws. More on that tomorrow when I can think straight.
It is one hell of a great feeling when people come up to you and say things like "That was a cool set". :o)
