Gollum Acceptance Speech on TT DVD

I found the instructions but they don't work on my software player. Can anyone try these on their regular player?

Insert the first DVD from the box set – the one containing the first half of the movie. From the Main Menu go to the 'Select A Scene' submenu where you proceed to go to the last page of these scene selections. Now highlight the 'Of Herbs And Stewed Rabbit' menu entry and press the 'Down' arrow key on your remote control. The One Ring will appear on the screen now and if you press 'Enter' you will see some footage of Peter Jackson congratulating you to finding this Easter Egg, followed by the clip from the MTV Movie Awards featuring Gollum’s hilarious acceptance speech for 'Best Virtual Performance.'

The thing is, when you press down, it'll jump to the first scene on the first page.

As Gollum swears extensively on the acceptance speech, it would have knocked the Uk release up into another category of classification, thus of all the disks in the world, the UK disk does NOT has the Gollum speech.

I saw it back when I has telewest, and it was magic. Whichever Entertainment in Video executive moron thought that increasing the classification would dent the sales of this fabulous disk needs to be fed to the Uruk-Hai.

It's the same with fellowship extended cut and the MTV Council of Elrond spoof...

Ah, that would explain it. Bastards. The version you can get off the onering site (and the original broadcast) has all the expletives bleeped out, anyway...

See, I thought that, then noticed that unlike felowship this one was a 12 so I checked a few sites and it said that the region 2 did have the Easter Egg.

But seein as neither Ozzy or myself can get it working you're probably right.
