More Japanese loveliness from Mitsuba Bento. This time Chirashi Sushi (salmon, tuna, eel, prawn, salmon roe, sea bass on a bed of sushi rice. According to Yasu, one of our in-house Japanese translators, as authentic as it gets.
The tasting session had loads of sushi (maki, nigiri, california rolls) and chicken and pork teriyaki (the latter being very nice as well).

Next week I'm going for the grilled eel.

Yum.

Heh - I saw a place in Kyoto selling Tonkatsu sandwiches, which I think might be an acquired taste.

All of our Japanese people and someone who lived there for a year are very impressed with everything.

I haven't tried that yet, will to soon. According to Yasu, it's very nice. Well, maybe not on a sandwich...

I doubt it. They are based in Cambridge.
Who knows, maybe they're expanding soon?

I love Japanese food!
Is there a good Japanese restaurant in London that is affordable?

Well, Ozzy knows where to get sushi, but I've never found it.

The one we go to is in Dublin.

There are several Yo Sushi's (conveyor belt sushi place) which are good (one in Angel, one in Finsbury Road in the mall/cinema complex).

There's a tiny place round the corner from both C/A venues near London Bridge. From Borough High St exit, go straight ahead, turn right at the venue, follow that cobbled street round the corner and it's on the left hand side. It doesn't look like a restaurant from the outside because it has one of those ugly plastic strip curtain things outside (like they have in warehouses). That place also has soups, noodles and tempura dishes.

OK.

Just booked the Old King's Head for next London Ling (oh dear, this is NOT an announcement, I will announce properly about 14 days prior to the game as that seems to be right for most people).

So I will able to try to find this mystery. IF someone else watches the bags.

Or I could announce 'I am not watching everyone's stuff between games. I am not DC. I am entitled to eat.' But that would be just too revolutionary...
