Bad day to pick for driving

karohemdWas invited to Vicky's Halloween horror movie party and thought that heading off after 7 would be fine. Bah. The A14 was standing still/crawling up until after Cambridge Services and still rather slow afterwards. Almost got lost in Bourne but a phone call to Paul brought me back on the right track.
Paul, for reference, directions without landmarks (pubs, petrol stations etc.) and street names don't work.
Got there eventually sometime after 9, in the middle of Donnie Darko. Next was John Carpenter's Prince of Darkness with Donald Pleasance which we had loads of fun heckling at. And finally we watched Mr Vampire to everybody's amusement. Well, except Paul's and Vicky's because they went to bed...
Drove home without getting lost and am looking forward to sleeping in.
