- Two tube derailments in 48 hours. This scares me. I don't use the tube often but it happened at times when I might be using at and at a station I'm often at.
The pope beatifies Mother Teresa. Now, I'm not a practising Christian, let alone a Catholic but if one person deserves sainthood, it's her. I think what matters most is that she didn't care who the people she helped were or what religion they followed. And this was reciprocated after her death when she received a state burial which is very unusual for a Christian.

Date: 19/10/03 07:18 am (UTC)I guess it's the helpnessness when you're sitting in a public transport vehicle. If you're driving a car (which is the most dangerous mode of transport by far) you have some control, at least psychologically. Still doesn't prevent idiots causing accidents.
