LJ has gone mental

I just wanted to comment on hildekitten's LJ and I get a message "You have entered a username, but you have deselected the 'LiveJournal user option. Please either clear the user textbox or select the relevant posting mode and try again."

You dumb fuckwit! Of course I have/haven't! Those two options are exclusive of eacht other! You can either user the "Logged in user: karohemd" OR the "LiveJournal user: " option, not both! And I've used the first which also is the default when you're logged in.

I guess this was another of those code updates...

Update: I'm also back to the old view (navigation bar on the left) and commenting works on other posts, just not on hildekitten's... Looks like a code problem. As long as the 'LiveJournal user' option isn't activated, you shouldn't be able to click in the text boxes underneath it but you can click into the user name box (not in the password one, though).

Yeah I got that too at one point like 5 minutes ago when I wanted to comment on something on Danny's LJ. *Sigh* Silly live journals lol.

I had that problem when trying to comment on someone else's journal a week or so back and it wasn't LJ at all; it was that they'd cut and pasted some faulty HTML code into their journal and that was causing the 'Logged in user' option not to be properly visible.

Ahh, that might be it. I was commenting to a test result.
